an I get help with my psychology assignment?

You have thought about Erikson’s 8 Stages of Man (psychosocial) Theory throughout the lifespan. Now, tell your own story—so far and possibly your projected future! Think about your life experiences thus far (and what you have been told about those early years that you will not likely remember!)

First, briefly explain what Erikson’s theory is generally all about (according to your text/notes learning). Think BIG picture.

Then, CHOOSE ONE DEVELOPMENTAL TIME PERIOD FROM THESE CHOICES:
Childhood (Birth through about age 12)
Adolescence
Adulthood

Next, BASED ON YOUR TIME PERIOD YOU CHOSE, describe this time period and specific Erikson stage(s) associated with this time period and apply each of them briefly, as they apply to yourself. If you chose adolescence, you will only have one stage to describe—and because there is only one it should be very clear and detailed. ?

Some thoughts to ponder: Did you master each stage so far? If not, have you/will you likely go back to previous stages within your lifespan to try to master them later? How does this mastery of stages impact the last stage? For the first stages of Erikson’s, you may not remember specific events—however you do know characteristics of your parent(s) and stories told of what you were like. This information will help you determine what happened during that stage. For example, in first stage, how does parenting determine mastery of this stage?

**Note that this section will differ enormously depending on which developmental time period you chose! ?

Lastly, choose one other theory from your textbook to compare/contrast/add to your discussion above. Be sure to 1) name the theorist/theory, 2) describe the theory, and 3) add this learning into your above discussion.

Only your course notes and textbook are to be used for understanding in this assignment, and thus no citation is needed. You should have one fat paragraph per stage.

Different Stages of Human Life

Erickson’s theory

Erickson’s theory divides the life of a human being into eight psychological stages. These stages are connected with their emotional stability and development phases.
1st stage (birth-1.5 years) is about the feelings of trust and mistrust and these feelings depend on the care and caretaker.
2nd stage (2-3 years) is associated with the feelings of self-care and shyness and is directly related to the toilet training of the child.
3rd stage (3-5 years) is related to feelings of assessment and guiltiness and depends upon the social connections.
4th stage (6-11 years) is about the feelings of accomplishment and lowliness depending on the school events.
5th stage (12-18 years) is related to the feelings of identity and disorientation of roles and it depends on the social connections (Curtis & Harbke, 2017).
6th stage (19-40 years) is about the feelings of closeness and loneliness, depending on interrelations.
7th stage (40-65 years) is about the feelings of imaginative and stagnancy depending on the career and parenting.
8th stage (65-death) is about the disappointment and rectitude that comes from early life memories.
In the teenage, we want to have some acknowledgement because in this phase we have developed the sense of being recognized and this feeling gives us great pleasure. I also got the feeling in this phase that I must be praised and look good in my friends and family. As I was a good student in my class so my teachers praise me and encouraged me to work harder to sustain the position I got. In this phase, we feel that if we are an independent person and sometimes a little bit scold of our parents looks very bad/we think of our self as an adult person knowing the pros and cons of life. The motivation from parents and teachers helps us to be recognized.
If we did not get appreciation in this phase than it leaves us as a confused personality which is not sure of what to do or what not do. In this phase, three stages of Erickson’s theory are almost covered. According to the 6th stage of Erickson’s theory, I made a different social connection and learned a lot.  I made many friends and have good relations with them. My career began in this phase and after getting accomplished I started my married life and spent quality time with my better half, this phase gives me a sense of responsibility. Being a parent of two children I missed my childhood days when my parents care me a lot and I also remember the moral and social values they taught me. These values help me during my whole life and I have a feeling that I conquered the stage by getting well established (Robert, 2017).
Paul Baltes Theory of lifespan development
Paul Baltes presented the theory of lifespan development. In the theory, he has elaborated that a person passes through different phases of life and he achieves and learns many things. The career and all the challenges the person faces during his life are all the phases of life. There is a risk of parents care in the birth phase of life that the parents are the care provider and proper can reduces the risk of birth phase. Man faces difficulty at early childhood in the academic adjustments but with proper guidance, this risk can be removed (Nicole & Craik, 2017). In the teenage, there is the risk of social and economic conditions in family and academics but it can also be removed through proper guidance and motivation. Risk of social status is in the adolescence phase. In Erickson’s theory, he described man’s life in eight stages and defines their conflicts. But Paul has described the whole life span as the learning stages and said that there is risk involved in each phase of life .Coping with risk in a manageable way is very critical because it affects the whole life
