Pail of doing research is sharing your findings with others.
To this end, our last assignment asks you to present the work you did this
semester to your classmates. This is to be a low stress, perhaps even fun
activity from which we can all learn some new, cool things. All you need to do
is put together a fifteen-minute talk about your main argument and some of the
more compelling bits of evidence that you've found. You may bring in whatever
visual aids you would like, but they are not required. Be sure. however, to
engage your audience: we don't want any boring presentations!
To ensure that everyone has an attentive and respectful
audience to engage, you will be asked to note the main points and minor pieces
of evidence from your classmates' presentations as a basis for the question and
answer periods. Ask questions! These questions—the discourse—constitute half of
the grade for the presentations.
