Strongest Argument - Miracles (Group 3) Read the full description: View Full Description Strongest Argument — Miracles
Of the many arguments and counterarguments within the three readings concerning miracles (Hume. van Inwagen, or Mackie), pick one that you think is the strongest. Many of these readings offer multiple arguments; just focus on one argument from the readings.
1. Explain the chosen argument from the reading. While doing so, use at least one quotation from the reading, but make sure that most of this explanation is in your own words. 2. Describe why you think it is the strongest argument concerning miracles from this section of readings. While doing so, compare it to some of the claims made in another reading from this section. 3. Do you think the argument successfully supports its conclusion? Why or why not? (Note, as usual, you can find an argument to be the strongest in a group, but still ultimately unsuccessful). 4. In at least a few sentences, summarize some of your own overall views concerning miracles. ail

Mystical Experiences
1.      Any question related to reading on mystical experience
Although there are many questions related to mystical experience and perception of God. Religion and perception of God is a transcendent dimension. The author in reading has demonstrated that  God is one and we all are created by God. He says that God makes a major contribution to the grounds of religious beliefs.
Now, the question related to mystical experience from the reading is “is there any information or justified beliefs about God? (Page 394-Mystical experience and perception of God)”
It means that is there any evidential value or having perhaps model of perceiving God in life. These questions help in concerning the views of different people.
2.      Give own opinion on the question
It is already known that God is one and he holds the power for everything. Everything in this world is held by God.  The readings have demonstrated that God is the only reason for our existence. The beliefs are the strong attitudes that we have whenever we take something to be the case. There are strong beliefs and attitudes by different religion people about God. For example, we never pounder whether or not the sun will rise? We always assume that the sun will rise and sunset. Since here the belief is an important aspect of our life. All religious people believe that God is one and the reason behind our existence.

Strong Argument- Miracles
1.      The chosen argument from reading
The argument regarding miracles has selected of Peter van Inwagen. The author has explained, “of miracles”. In his reading, he basically attacks on the argument of Hume against miracles.
The chosen argument from the reading is that each particle and element in the universe is particularly sustained in the existence by God. The argument has explained that this physical world has made up of fundamental building blocks and different physical things.
The quotation from the reading regarding miracles argument is given below,
“It has explained that God is only one who has the power to hold things,  God always, or almost always supplies each particle with the same power (Of Miracle by Peter Van Inwagen- B.3)”.
2.      Why this is the strong argument
The argument has been given regarding the power of God and supplies of each particle to each individual. This argument is the strongest one as compared to others because only God has the power to supply things among people.
Now, compare with another reading argument about God,  an author William Alston has argued that religious experience plays a great role with respect to beliefs about God. He actually says that religious experience is the only thing that a person required to find God. According to him, if an individual does not a religious experience he can not find his God.
3.      Do you think the argument successfully supports its conclusion
The argument fully explained that role of power. The argument has explained that God is one and only he has the power to hold things around the universe. So, this argument mainly explained that God is the one who creates this universe including moon, sun, stars, oceans, mountains, sky, rain and thunder. The arguments strong to make a conclusion because the argument has ended on this concept. The argument successfully explains the conclusion because it highlights the power of God.
4.      Overall summary of the views concerning miracles
Overall, there are various arguments has been given and explained by different authors. However, the argument for discussion has been select by van Inwagen. The main theme of the argument was God is one who made certain fundamental building blocks and things in-universe. This means that God does not only create things in the universe but he also create of all us. There is a law of nature and the whole universe work accordingly. Finally, God has created this universe for a specific and one day everything will be destroyed.
